Research axes and tools

This challenge builds on Grenoble’s international expertise in cryogenics. Our members develop cryogenic systems and concepts for temperatures ranging from below 0.001 K up to 100 K, both for fundamental science and for applications, from space to fusion. They also study applied superconductivity, from the development of cutting-edge detectors to high current applications (large magnetic fields and management of electrical energy).
