Work Package 1: Quantum processors and simulators [Interface Physics/Computer Science and/or industrial coaching]

Our goal will be to perform relevant quantum algorithms and simulations on a few qubits in an architecture which can be scaled to large numbers of qubits. A long-standing expertise is present in Grenoble for various solid-state qubits, e.g. electron and molecular spin qubits, semiconducting photonic circuits and superconducting quantum circuits. All the research developments on quantum hardware will be pursued in close collaboration with computer scientists, and the potential of the developed devices for industrial transfer will be considered. Below are some examples of topics to investigate within a PhD work.
The PhD projects should preferentially be twinned with at least 1 PhD project of Work Package 2
