6 labs
Our six laboratories essentially develop forefront basic research with an emphasis on physics - condensed matter and nanosciences - and electrical engineering.
There are very few places worldwide which combine such an expertise in basic multidisciplinary research, integrated in a larger campus for research & innovation such as GIANT.

The six labs are:
- Institut Néel (NEEL), focused on basic research in condensed matter physics and nanosciences and supportive of the creation of intellectual property

- Institut Nanosciences & Cryogénie (INAC), well balanced between basic research in nanosciences and the creation of intellectual property with strong links with R&D labs

- Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire de Physique (LiPhy) features a
broad spectrum of activities ranging from soft matter physics and cell biophysics to optics and spectroscopy for life and environmental sciences.
